Mr. Bruce Haymes
Senior Vice President and Product Leader; Digital Media, The Nielsen Company
Mr. Haymes is currently Senior Vice President and Product Leader of Digital Media at The Nielsen Company. Recently, he was President of Coleytown Media
Advisors, providing strategic, investment and M&A
advice to developing telecom and media businesses,
private equity firms and other corporations, including
business plan development, fundraising, research and
M&A due diligence.
Previously, Mr. Haymes was Senior Vice President,
Corporate Development and Strategy for PanAmSat
Corporation (NYSE: PA), one of the world’s largest
fixed satellite services providers. He led the
company's New Ventures organization, an
interdisciplinary group exclusively focused on growth
through acquisition, investment and product
development activities.
He has closed notable transactions and projects such
as the acquisitions of EuropeStar, Ltd., Esatel
(government services), Sonic Telecom (fiber optic
video) and Hughes Global Services (government
services), as well as investments in Pathfire, Inc.
(broadcasting and advertising solutions) and Pegaso
Banda Ancha (Mexican wireless broadband). Mr.
Haymes also has closed capital-intensive satellite
partnerships with JSAT, Japan’s leading provider of
satellite services.
Mr. Haymes was a key member of the transaction
team that helped sell PanAmSat in one of the largest
LBOs to date. Following that, he was a key member
of the team that sold and transitioned the business
to Intelsat, Ltd. for $6.4 billion.
Prior to leading PanAmSat’s New Ventures
organization, Mr. Haymes was Vice President and
Associate General Counsel with responsibility for all
corporate legal activities.
Mr. Haymes’ career began as a corporate finance and
banking lawyer with several of New York City’s top
law firms including, Chadbourne & Parke and Morrison
& Foerster. Mr. Haymes received a B.A. in Economics
from Tufts University, and a J.D., with honors, from
the National Law Center at George Washington
University. He is a member of the New York and New
Jersey Bar Associations, the Ethnic Broadcasters
Association and the Corporate Executive Board
(Strategy Section).
